The second story from the Monster's "debut" issue (Prize's Monster of Frankenstein V3#01 aka #18 [1952]), shows him progressively becoming even more savage, but entirely due to the actions of the people around him!
It's unfortunate that relative innocents like the two travelers are caught up in the destruction, but the Monster was provoked, and woe to those in his path...
