GHOST BREAKERS "Dr Neff Cracks the Menace of the Vanishing Ghosts" Conclusion

...hired by a group of local sheriffs to perform in a number of close-together towns which have experienced robberies by "ghosts", Dr Neff stops a crime by the pseudo-specters in the first town he performs in.
The criminals disappear...like ghosts in the night, using secret passages and chambers in local "haunted" sites to conceal themselves!
But Neff always has a plan...
Written by Walter Gibson aka "Maxwell Grant", creator of the pulp/comic book character The Shadow, and illustrated by Bob Powell (who rendered art for both the pulp and comic incarnations of The Shadow), this never-reprinted tale from S&S's Ghost Breakers #1 (1948) presents Neff as a heroic "debunker", disproving and exposing those who would use illusion for evil!
There's no indication he ever actually did that sort of thing...
